Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 October 2026

CleanMyDev is a developer disk manager that runs on your Mac. This policy describes what the app and this website collect.

On-device only

Scans, project paths, sizes, and clean history stay on your Mac. CleanMyDev does not upload folder trees, file names, or project contents to our servers.

Folders you choose

On a new install the startup disk is listed as a scan folder, and you can remove it in Settings. Every scan folder, including that disk, is stored as a security-scoped bookmark on this Mac after you allow it. Full Disk Access is optional and only reveals protected folders after the disk is allowed.

Account

Pro uses an account so you can unlock it on any Mac. You sign in with Google through Firebase Authentication (Google LLC). We store your email address, your Firebase user ID, and your plan status. The free plan needs no account.

Purchases

Pro subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are sold by Creem, our merchant of record, which collects payment details and taxes under its own privacy policy. We receive your email, order and subscription IDs, and the plan status; we never receive your card number.

Pro checks from the app

When you sign in, the app stores a session token in your macOS Keychain and checks your plan with this website every few hours. The check sends only that token, never scan data.

Optional system settings

If you enable Open at login, macOS starts CleanMyDev when you sign in. Full Disk Access is optional. Without it, protected folders on the startup disk stay out of the scan.

Deleting your account

Email us to delete your account and plan record. Creem keeps order records it is required to keep by law.
