Common questions
How do I get files back after a clean?
CleanMyDev moves build files to the Trash; it never deletes them. Open Trash in the Dock, select the folders, and choose File → Put Back. Once Trash is emptied, rebuild the project to recreate them.
What does CleanMyDev never touch?
Source code, .env files, keystores, and lockfiles are classed Forbidden and are never moved. Global caches such as Homebrew, DerivedData, Gradle, and CocoaPods are listed separately and are never cleaned automatically.
Why does a folder not appear in the scan?
macOS only lets CleanMyDev read folders you allow. Add or allow folders in CleanMyDev → Settings. Full Disk Access is optional and only reveals protected folders on a disk you have already allowed.
I bought Pro on another Mac. How do I unlock it here?
In CleanMyDev, open the Pro sheet and click Sign In to Restore. Sign in with the same Google account in your browser, then click Open CleanMyDev.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?
Open your account page, sign in with Google, and click Manage subscription. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
How do I get a refund?
Email us from the address you bought with. Payments are processed by Creem, and refunds go back to the original payment method.
